Purdue Football

I got season tickets for Purdue football this year.  I did it partially because my father insisted it was part of the college experience, and I like football, so I got the tickets.  Today's game (Purdue vs. Northwestern Colorado) was awesome.  Purdue stomped them 42 - 10!  It makes me happy.  Not only am I happy that Purdue won, but Follett's gives a five percent discount on Purdue apparel for each touchdown Purdue gets!  That's thirty percent!  I might have to get another pair of shorts or something.  We also body surfed someone after every touchdown, pushing them up as many times as Purdue's score.  That was really tiring, but awesome.

There were a couple things that disappointed me.  I now look like a two-faced raccoon.  I got burned all around my sunglasses and all the sun was coming from my left.  The left side of my face is burnt much worse than the right, hence the animalistic look.  Hopefully I won't burn after this, so that may soon be remedied.  Also, after every first down we'd yell "One, two, three, four, first down!" It seemed like 3/4 of the people added the word "B****," which I just didn't think was necessary.

I made some new friends and had fun, though, so I'm glad I went.  Maybe I'll see you at the Oregon game next week!

The football game was really exciting! My friend Katie and I would highfive each other after each touchdown and exclaim that's another 5% off. To say the least we were very excited about that. I think with that 30% off I'm going to have get something!

The "one, two, three, four, first down B****!" is a student tradition and I'm a little surprised you didn't know of it.

Im with you on the sun burnt face. The whole left side of my neck is burnt, and my entire face is too. At least we know for next time.

Anthony,

I knew about the first down cheer, I just don't like the last word on it. That word is a relatively recent addition, I think. I'm told there is a movement to change the word to Boilers, so that those who say the naughty word are drowned out and unheard. I'd support that.

I know exactly what you are talking about with the sunburn! my whole forhead looked like an oversized tomato! But the game was really fun and I enjoyed it alot too! And the discounts it brought!

Ya the football game was so much fun! But I am right there with you with that sunburn! Luckily it looks like its already going away. And I didn't know about the cheer either when I first got there but I don't really mind it, it's kind of a tradition I guess so it's cool. Oh and the discount at Follets is awesome!
